Raam is Burning.
On the Western side of Raam sits the Temple Quarter, once the spiritual heart of the city. Shrines devoted to the old pantheon of Raam still crowd the wide thoroughfare, and the citizens still furtively leave offerings for these old gods when Abalach-Re’s templars are not looking. Sitting among the shrines, in the most prominent places, are the gleaming Upabadnas – the four-armed icons of Raam’s new god.
Most of the city’s great schools are also in the Temple Quarter located along Ascetic’s Way, including Psionoramh, the Yellow Monastery and the Order of the Obsidian Fist. The quarter also boasts the Garden of Benevolence, a state-sponsored community where the elderly members of Raam’s upper class can spend the final days in peace and meditation.
